Virginia Community Response Network (VCRN) is a non-profit organization created for the sole purpose of responding to community disasters statewide by using EMDR Early Intervention Protocols that quickly help minimize the emotional effects of the mass shooting and return you to pre-event mental health.
EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) is an evidenced based treatment for individuals struggling with Acute Stress Disorder & Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Specialized EMDR early intervention protocols are used during the 6 months following exposure to a traumatic event that help relieve the above symptoms. Both group & individual treatment is available and provided by specially trained mental health clinicians. The outcomes are extremely positive for those who have received this treatment. More information on EMDR is at https://www.emdria.org/page/what_is_emdr_therapy
We look forward to helping you feel better!
