VCRN Response for VIA

VCRN is offering a group on
Wednesday June 1st at 4:30 pm
Upper School, Post-High
491 Hillsdale Drive
Charlottesville, VA  22901

After a tragedy, like the death of a student, it is normal to experience painful emotions, disturbance in sleep, appetite, or mood, or an increase in stress, anxiety, numbness, somatic complaints, or sadness that makes it difficult to cope.

VCRN is offering a virtual group to VIA staff who may be experiencing stress as a result of recent events. This group will use a protocol that does not require you talk or share your experiences with each other, but has been researched and used successfully around the world to provide relief, often in just one session. This protocol is a powerful tool to provide rapid response to those suffering after a traumatic event.

This virtual group will be facilitated by our VCRN licensed, volunteer clinicians, who will assist individuals in reducing the distress of the most upsetting parts of this experience for them. This service is provided free of charge.

To participate, we ask that you complete our participant information and consent form below. Once you have submitted this form, you will receive a link to the Impact of Event Scale to complete. Thank you!
