VCRN Response for

VCRN is offering 2 options for Virtual Groups:
Saturday 1/7/23 at 1:30-3:00 pm
OR
Saturday 1/14/23 from 1:30-3:00 pm
When supporting individuals in therapy who have experienced a tragedy, like the shooting at Walmart, it is normal to experience painful emotions, disturbance in sleep, appetite, or mood, or an increase in stress, anxiety, numbness, somatic complaints, or sadness that makes it difficult to cope.
VCRN is offering a virtual group to Tidewater therapists who may be experiencing stress as a result of these recent events and the challenge of supporting individuals during this difficult time. This group will use a protocol that does not require you talk or share your experiences with each other, but has been researched and used successfully around the world to provide relief, often in just one session. This protocol is a powerful tool to provide rapid response to those suffering after a traumatic event.

This virtual group will be facilitated by our VCRN licensed, volunteer clinicians, who will assist individuals in reducing the distress of the most upsetting parts of this experience for them. This service is provided free of charge.
